Service Description

The Mat is where Pilates began — and its advanced repertoire remains some of the most demanding work in the method. No springs to assist, no straps to guide: just the body, gravity and control. This CPD workshop is designed for experienced Mat teachers ready to deepen their repertoire and teach advanced work with confidence and precision. Rooted in Contrology, anatomy and biomechanics, this workshop goes beyond adding harder exercises to your class plan. You'll explore what the advanced Mat work truly demands — strength, mobility, coordination and control — and how to build clients towards it safely and intelligently. What you'll cover: The advanced classical Mat repertoire and its transitions Progressions and preparatory work — building clients towards advanced exercises Movement analysis — seeing readiness in the body Cueing and hands-on guidance for complex work Sequencing and flow in advanced Mat classes Delivered in person at our Leeds Dock studios, with small group numbers for individual feedback and hands-on teaching practice. Led by Ebru Evrim — pathology scientist, Polestar-trained comprehensive practitioner, and educator to 170+ graduates teaching across the UK.
