REFORMER JUMPBOARD

A CPD workshop in safe, intelligent jumpboard teaching — cardio, load and control.

Service Description

The jumpboard transforms the Reformer — introducing impact, rhythm and cardiovascular demand into a method built on control. Taught well, it's one of the most dynamic and rewarding tools in the studio. Taught poorly, it's one of the riskiest. This CPD workshop gives you the knowledge to teach jumpboard work safely, intelligently and creatively. Rooted in anatomy and biomechanics, this workshop goes beyond choreography. You'll understand what actually happens to the body in supine jumping — how spring load changes impact forces, what the feet, knees, hips and spine are managing on every landing, and how to programme jumpboard work for different bodies and abilities. What you'll cover: Jumpboard set-up, spring selection and safety Foundational jumping technique — take-off, flight and landing mechanics Building sequences: tempo, rhythm and variation Programming for group classes and individual clients Adapting for different abilities and common restrictions When jumpboard work is not appropriate — screening and contraindications Delivered in person at our Leeds Dock studios on professional-grade Reformers, with small group numbers for maximum equipment time and individual feedback. Led by Ebru Evrim — pathology scientist, Polestar-trained comprehensive practitioner, and educator to 170+ graduates teaching across the UK. Entry requirements: a recognised Reformer Pilates teaching qualification. This workshop involves full physical participation. Places are strictly limited by equipment — early booking is recommended.
